BIRTH PARENT(S) SERVICES

It's Your Choice

An unplanned pregnancy may seem like the end of the world to a birth mother who may feel utterly alone as she wrestles with "what to do", She may choose to deny the pregnancy, thinking, "Oh no, this cannot be happening to me." She may keep the pregnancy a secret until she can no longer hide the fact when what seems so unreal is real.

For the birth father, too, an unplanned pregnancy may come as a shock. Often he feels "blown away" and is overcome with feelings of "I'm outta here"..."It's not for me,"... "No way,"... and "Forget this".., versus "I'm an OK guy,"... "I'm a decent person"... and "l don't want to hurt anybody, least of all, my kid." Scared and confused, he may deny paternity, or run, because he doesn't know bow to translate, "I want to do the right thing" into a good plan of action.
